This mask is found among the Kuba Bushoong, and Ngeende people. This mask was worn during the initiation of young men. When used by the Bushoong, it was used by a secret society with one of its duties being the apprehension of criminals.  This is a fine example of a Rare Kuba Itok mask and shows good signs of age and use.
