They lived in Jalisco, Mexico (where my mother still resides) for almost 50 years. My late father was a well known writer, artist and sculptor and was keenly interested in the culture in terms of artistic endeavors and, especially, in the antiquities and assisted in artifact display, mounting and lighting design at a museum in Jalisco. My parents went on many archeological excursions into mainly western regions and personally found many items in their collection, although many were purchased as well. ******************************************************************************************* Authentic Pre-Columbian Figurine. WEST MEXICO, NAYARIT, c. 250 BC - 250 AD. This is a beautiful little pot depicting the open mouth of an animal (probably a dog) as the opening at the top. No cracks and appears to have no restoration. Overall condition of this head is excellent. The pot  is  about 3" high x about 25" wide x 1 5/8" across the opening.    Please view photgraphs very carefully. Please ask questions before you bid.
