I am told that all the figures came from an important Belgian collection, and have been in storage for some years. Most have collection stickers to their bases, and all as far as I can tell, have considerable age, hopefully my photographs will help. Many thanks to Lawrence who has provided me with the following information. Offered for sale is is this large figure from the Kota or Mahongwe from Gabon. It is in what is known as the Obamba style (the brass is beaten from imported European plates).  Interestingly hollowed out with nails inside, and beaten brass covering the head. 64cm tall, some minor cracks, with old repairs and a little old worm damage.
