Personal adornment is very much evident among the Orang Ulu community.   The elongated earlobes symbolize great beauty among the community, hence enhance their looks. Traditionally, parents may like to perforate and stretch their child’s ear by hanging brass earrings or other types of ornament. Like any other old tribal tradition, it is practised by the younger generation. This type of earring is suitable to be used for earring competition and performance.
