Description
VERY FINE DIAMOND PATTERN SANTO DOMINGO DOUGH BOWL     I am offering a beautiful and dynamic 1930s diamond patterned Santo Domingo Dough bowl for sale.  The bowl is   14 1/2 inches wide (diameter) and 6 inches deep.  The coloration is really spectacular and the piece has a really great patina.  The rim is hand flattened with a slight round to it.  This piece shows that it has been lovingly used for many years.   I purchased this piece from Frank Walker several years ago.  He was a Santa Fe dealer for many years.  The bowl is in very good condition with one scratch (see photos # 4 and 6).  It appears it was run against a sharp thin edge of metal or a knife).  The scratch is very narrow and barely noticable to the naked eye.  I made sure that the camera showed the scratch better than it actually shows.  There is a very small nick on the inside of the rim (very old nick- see lower left corner of photo # 2).  One has to really look to see it.  The minimal damage is consistent with its age and use.  The light spot is from a price sticker someone had on the bowl a long time ago.  It is not damage.  The buyer can get his/her hands sweaty and dirty this summer and rub the dirt on the clean spot - I will leave that up to the buyer.  Please ASK ALL QUESTIONS before bidding.  I want happy buyers!!!!  I will not pay return shipping on this item if it is returned.  I will be more than happy to email as many photos as you would like.  If you are going to make an offer on this piece please specify your method of payment in your email.  I was not able to get the USPS calculator to show for shipping.  For some reason my computer does not want to put it on.  Shipping will be actual cost.  I think USPS first class is more reasonable than UPS.  Send me your zip code at least two days before the end and I will get the USPS cost for you. I am happy to work with anyone that is seriously interested.  The dough bowl is definetly a real show piece and would be a fantastic addition to anyone's collection.  Check out my other items!          The item may be inspected at the shop - the 4th St. Antique Mall, 7901 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM (corner of 4th St. & Ranchitos).  Our hours are : M-S 10AM-5PM, Sun 11AM-4PM. Stop by and browse. We have a fine selection of Antique, Vintage, and Contemporary Native American Art, Folk, New Mexican and Mexican art, Civil War and other wars, Glass, Advertising, Furniture, and Toys. There is also a ton of sports memorabilia too!The merchandise changes daily so be sure to stop in periodically to find the best of the collectibles.  There is something for every collector. Shipping within the U.S. is calculated according to your zip code.  I think USPS first class would be less expensive than UPS  ground.  Overseas/foreign countries please contact me about shipping before bidding. Out of U.S. buyers are responsible for all (including required insurance) U.S.P.S. or UPS and customs charges.  Payment:  I accept paypal (24 hr. shipping), cashier's checks, money orders, or personal checks on this item (these take 7-10 days to clear) and the bowl would be shipped as soon as it clears.  Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
