Description
Old Indian Baskets NW ESTATE SALE: These basket and others are from a prominent NW Estate Indian Basket collection. THIS IS VERY, VERY RARE BASKET SET, museum display quality, of a papoose baby carrier along with a matching infant hat!! The carrier still has the original old cloth straps to hold the baby in. Estate was hoping for a museum to purchase these rare items for display. Amazing to find these rare pieces together. Basketry set pieces were date estimated at mid-late 1800's to early 1900's. These 2 basket pieces came together direct from a KLAMATH INDIAN family years ago. They have been identified as an old KLAMATH Indian baskets or possibly Hupa from Klamath Falls, Oregon areas. I am representing for the estate on consignment, I do not have full history or knowledge of baskets or origin and all estate items sold as is and sold as shown only. These basket appears to be in good original conditions for their old age of over 100 years old & I have taken photos from all angles. They have not been cleaned and are original condition. Please ask questions before bidding as all estate sales are final. Payment should be made or sent out within 24 hours of auction end or seller reserves right to relist and file non=payment and rate buyer accordingly; unless prior payments are made & approved by seller. Paypal preferred, cashiers checks, money orders or personal checks held until cleared. Will ship anywhere outside USA at your full cost and risk only as postal insurance recommended but may not be available outside USA. Thank you. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK BIDDING! EstatesNW
